Encounter Yourself: July 8-14, 2007

Saint Mary's College invites you to meet other students from across the United States for an exciting pre-college program. At Encuentro you will develop who you are and who you want to become. You will share in a thought-provoking academic, cultural, and spiritual experience designed especially for you! Encuentro will encourage you to think about your future and preview college life through courses such as history, sociology, math, and art.

Encuentro: Encounter Yourself will help you to:

• Think about your future
• Picture yourself in college
• Develop confidence in your ability to succeed in college

During the week we shall:

• Preview college life
• Take classes taught by Saint Mary’s College professors
• Explore culture and the impact it has in the classroom and on our lives
• Share in the excitement of cultural activities
• Participate in community-bulding exercises and workshops that encourage the development of a positive self-image
