Have you ever talked to someone but realized that you were not heard? Would you like to learn about an effective way to resolve conflicts and difficulties when relating to others?
The Center for Women's InterCultural Leadership offered a three-day intensive workshop on "Compassionate Listening" taught by Leah Green from the international Compassionate Listening Project.
Leah Green, co-founder of the Compassionate Listening Project, described this workshop as a means for "those wanting to strengthen their skills as peacemakers and cultivate compassion in their daily lives. Compassionate Listening is a powerful tool for reconciliation. It is used to initiate peace-building efforts in conflict at all levels: personal, community, and global, offering insight and healing for all."
The workshop focused on the fundamentals of Compassionate Listening and helped participants learn about ways to bring this technique into daily life. For more information visit their website at: www.compassionatelistening.org
