Required Activities

 

To earn the certificate students will integrate their intercultural learning from a range of experiences, but students are expected, at a minimum, to participate in the following activities:

  • Kickoff Retreat
  • Peer Mentoring Meetings (monthly)
  • Advising Meetings (bi-monthly)
  • Community-Based Learning (50 hours can be facilitated by OCSE, Office of Multicultural Services and Student Programs, CWIL, or course-work)
  • Study Abroad (1 week -1 year)
  • Catalyst Trip
  • Inclusive Leadership Project 
  • Mentoring with a Local Community Leader (1 year)
  • Mentoring with an International Leader (1 year)
  • Capstone Retreat
  • Create e-portfolio of Intercultural Leadership
    • Demonstrate proficiency in 6 key areas         
    • Incorporate 9 credit-hours of classes
    • Include a summative discipline-based reflection paper
