Some Saint Mary’s students will be chosen to take part in this program with students from Creighton University, which will be led by two or three faculty members. The travel adventure will include the choice of a two or three credit course on either Chinese Women and Society, Chinese Philosophy, or Chinese Art. Because this travel opportunity is supported by the Soong Ching-Ling Foundation in China, it is a rare opportunity!
All students are housed in the local hotels in different provinces in China.
Basic costs are kept to a minimum. The program fee is $3600, and covers tuition, hotels, meals, transportation within China, museum and historical site entry fees, and airfare to and from China. There is a $35 application fee.
Participants from Saint Mary’s College are eligible for CWIL student travel grants through the Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership.
